Unthinkable - Movie Review

How far is too far in the interrogation of known terrorists? That is the central question in this little known gem. If you haven't see Unthinkable, you're in for a great movie and a wild, thought-provoking film. Two interrogators with different (read, conflicting) approaches work an FBI interrogation and you quickly find yourself picking sides, sometimes switching sides on the question of how much is enough to get information from a terrorist who is not only holding secret the location of bombs planted in US cities, but seems prepared for any amount of torture inflicted on him. Voilent, smart, harsh. The only real disappointment is Carrie-Anne Moss, I'm sorry to say, whose character comes across totally predictable and uninteresting. Samuel L. Jackson is everything you'd expect, almost too easy of a casting choice. The real star is Michael Sheen who shows an entire bag full of emotions yet never loses his character, always keeping the focus of the film on his character, often with little or no lines. Netflix even has this as a view instantly film. No doubt - 4 stars.
